Why Would You Go To A Physical Therapist?

Have you ever had an injury that you battled to return from? Maybe recurring headaches that debilitate your ability to function during the day? Maybe you’re trying to lose some weight but just don’t know where to start or how to progress your program?

Most people find they may be referred to a physical therapist after they’ve had an injury or surgery. This is a great time to seek out care from the experts, but did you know that it’s best to seek out advice from a physical therapist before you actually have the injury?

Physical Therapists are experts in your body’s movement and function. They help to promote your ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical Therapy is essential in your preventative care of your body. Of course physical therapists can and will help you after an injury occurs but it’s the preventative steps you take that could prevent you from the injury in the first.

Ask yourself this question:

If you could proactively care for your body and prevent an injury, would it be worth it to you?

Imagine the time you would lose from an injury; time off work, time away from family and friends. Imagine the pain you’d be in with an injury. Imagine how much money an injury would cost you.

Now, imagine having the resources and knowledge to prevent that injury. Imagine learning proper ways to sit, walk, lift, and move. Imagine how priceless this personalized information would be.

How can a Physical Therapist Help You Preventatively?

  • Correct and improve your body’s movement patterns.
  • Correct and improve your posture.
  • Teach you exercises to maintain postural strength and stability.
  • Work with you on setting up a better work station.
  • Teach you proper lifting techniques.
  • And more!

Now ask yourself this question:

Why would you NOT go to a Physical Therapist?

I am excited to help you on your journey!

Have an Abundantly Healthy day, and, until next time …
