Here are 5 Simple Tips To Reduce Stress and Detox Your Habits
1. Practice Meditation to Reduce Stress
With our lives so busy it’s pretty rare to have any silence. It’s important to take time each day and find some moments of silence. This gives you the opportunity to clear all the thoughts from your head. A clear head can be a reset button, allowing you prioritize your day with a fresh outlook. This little tool has really helped me amp up my meditation practice!
2. Participate in Positive Self-Talk to Detox
Kind self-talk can help alter your mindset, promote positive thinking, and reduce the stress that happens when we feel insufficient or insignificant. I added this tool to my morning routine and WoW, just wow, did it ever change my thought process. So this can be as simple as telling yourself “I am enough.” Or, if you find yourself in a stressful situation, instead of telling yourself “This is horrible, everything is falling apart.” pause and tell yourself “I am capable and everything will be okay.”
3. Keep a Gratitude Journal
Take a moment each day to recognize the good in your life. A gratitude journal can help you gain perspective. You can write about what makes your life better, or something that made you laugh that day. But, whatever you choose to write about, make sure to take time each day to recognize the simple things that are good in your life. It’s always great to pick up a few journals to have available, this is a great one
4. Slow Down and Be Present
When you’re with those people who are important to you, pause and be present in the moment. Don’t think about what you need to do next, but appreciate where you are and who you are with. When we stop the running to-do list in our mind, we can let go of some of our stress and enjoy the everyday moments. Because time is precious, right? Spending it with amazing people makes it so much better when we’re actually present in the moments. Grab this little book, it’ll give you so many great ideas for how to be more present and mindful.
