Have you ever set out to achieve a goal, doubting yourself along the way, and yet came out at the finish line beyond anything you imagined was possible? These 3 stories I’m going to share with you will open your eyes to hope, possibility, and opportunity. I am sharing them with you with hopes that they would also inspire you! I am sharing them with you because it is my passion to help others, and I’m blessed to be living that passion.

Before I share the stories, here’s a quick question to ask yourself:

What exactly is success?

Success can be pretty subjective sometimes and yet objectively measured at others. You can be successful by setting out on a journey of self-improvement and self-discovery and feel accomplished along the way and you can be successful at finishing a race in first place. Both situations are successful; one is measured by feeling and one is measured by time.

These stories I’m going to share with you are a combination of subjective and objective success. As you read them, think to yourself about where you are today, where you want to be in a month, where you want to be in a year, and where you want to be in five years. Think about the impact you can have on another person’s life. Are you impacting them positively?

I hope you enjoy reading these three short stories that I have been blessed to be a part of!

Success Story #1:  Defeated By Head Pain

A woman came to me hurting and suffering from headaches, migraines, and more, for over 12 years. She’d tried everything from over the counter medication, prescription medication, and injections all to be suffering with the same symptoms day in and day out. She told me she was losing her mind. She wasn’t able to work, wasn’t able to be around her kids, and was spending more and more time locked up in her bedroom with the curtains drawn and a blanket over her face.

This wasn’t the way she wanted to live because this wasn’t living! She was willing to try anything to help but what I had for her was a simple protocol of natural solutions. She was ready for the change so she jumped right in and started the protocol I put together for her. It included whole food supplements, pre- and pro-biotics, and a few different essential oils.

Within a day she was calling me saying she already felt better. Within a week she was more alert, and the brain fogginess had seemed to diminish. Within a month she reported no headaches the entire time. And, within 3 months, she was off of all the over the counter and prescription medications she was previously taking for her headaches.

She got her life back!

Success Story #2:  Embracing Memories and Love

I had an elderly client who was in advanced stages of dementia. Her memory was deteriorating fast and she was now not remembering her closest family and caregivers. She was becoming more fearful and anxious each day because she didn’t understand where she was or who these people were who were taking care of her. Her daughter reached out to me asking if there was something I could recommend to help her mom feel more calm during the day.

We started a diffuser next to her in the sitting room where she sat in the afternoon listening to music. We diffused a calming, restful blend of pure, medical grade essential oils. Within an hour, we could see a difference with her not reacting as she normally would. Her daughter visited with her and her Mom, surprisingly, recognized her and carried on a conversation for some time as she shared with her daughter memories from her childhood. She told her daughter she loved her and as they embraced her daughter felt the mom she knew was back in her arms, even if just for a brief moment.

She was able to spend a loving moment with the Mom she knew and loved!

Success Story #3:  Personalized Signature

I had a gentleman who had so much difficulty moving his hands he couldn’t do much about caring for himself. He couldn’t hold a cup or glass without using both hands, he couldn’t grip a steering wheel, and he told me he hadn’t been able to sign his name for years. Seeing the defeat in this man’s eyes as he felt he was having to rely on people to help him with things that were so simple was heart-wrenching.

We started him on a protocol of whole food natural supplements, digestive enzymes, pre- and pro-biotics, and an anti-inflammatory complex of natural herbs and essential oils. We also started him on a topical use of essential oils directly to his hands. He told me he didn’t care how “pretty” he smelled if it could help him feel better.

I saw him a few months later and he asked me if I had a pen. Confused, I said “sure” and handed him one. With a smile as large as a 5-year old has on Christmas day, he took that pen from my hand and signed his name. He looked up at me and said “I haven’t been able to do that in over 5 years!” He took my hand and gave me a nice, firm handshake before he gave me a great big hug!

He got his independence back!
